Each year, as the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, the Rusty Griswold Light Display comes to life. For us, it’s not just about decorating our home with thousands of dazzling lights – it’s about creating a place where families, friends, and neighbours come together to experience the wonder of the holidays.
This year, we’re proud to announce something truly special. For the first time ever, the Rusty Griswold Light Display is partnering with Halton Women’s Place to support women and children in our community who are facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.
Why Halton Women’s Place?
Halton Women’s Place is the only women’s shelter in the Halton region, providing emergency shelter and crisis services to women and their children experiencing domestic violence. They offer a safe haven, counselling, legal support, and programs that empower survivors to rebuild their lives free from fear.
When thinking about what Christmas truly represents – hope, safety, love, and new beginnings – it felt only natural to align with an organization that embodies these values every day of the year.
How Our Partnership Will Make a Difference
Throughout the 2025 holiday season, we will be:
- Raising awareness about the critical services Halton Women’s Place provides
- Encouraging donations from visitors to help fund shelter programs, counselling, and educational outreach
- Sharing information onsite and online so that families visiting the display can learn how to support this vital cause
We believe that every light in our display is a symbol of hope. Partnering with Halton Women’s Place allows us to extend that hope beyond the glow of our yard and into the lives of women and children who need it most.
A Message from Rusty
“When we started this light display, it was about bringing a smile to faces . Over the years, it’s grown into something bigger – a tradition that brings people together to share in the spirit of giving. This year, we want to shine a light on those who often feel forgotten. Supporting Halton Women’s Place means supporting our neighbours, friends, and families who deserve a safe and joyful holiday season.”
– Mike Madole (Rusty Griswold)
