Frequently Asked Questions
This display is a free, residential Christmas light show built as a labour of love to share holiday joy with the community. Below are answers to the most common questions I receive, so visitors know what to expect before arriving.
What dates does the show run?
The show begins on Friday, November 28, 2025. The last night for the season is Sunday, January 4, 2026.
What time does the show run each night?
The display runs:
- Sunday – Thursday: 6:00 pm – 10:30 pm
(Outdoor speakers turn off at 9:00 pm) - Friday & Saturday: 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm
(Outdoor speakers turn off at 9:30 pm)
Lights continue to run for the whole show hours. Music remains available through the optional audio stream after outdoor speakers are turned off.
Please note that hours may occasionally change due to weather or technical issues. Any updates will be posted on the home page and our Facebook page.
Do I need to download an app to enjoy the show?
No.
The display can be enjoyed from the sidewalk with music playing on-site until 9:00pm Sun – Thurs and 9:30pm Fri & Sat.
For visitors who prefer to listen from their vehicle or on headphones, an optional audio stream is available. This is provided as a convenience and is free to use — it is not required.
Is there an admission fee or tickets required?
No.
The display is completely free and always has been. There are no tickets, reservations, or paid access.
Why is there sometimes traffic or street parking?
This is a residential display that many families choose to visit. On busy evenings, increased traffic and street parking can occur due to popularity.
Visitors are asked to be patient, respectful, and mindful of neighbours.
There is no parking permitted directly in front of the display or driveways. This area is occasionally monitored by the City, as indicated by the posted NO PARKING signage.
Who runs and pays for the display?
The display is personally designed, built, maintained, and funded by me. It is a labour of love created to share holiday joy with the community. I have no sponsors and am not affiliated with any company.
Are donations required?
No — donations are entirely optional.
Many visitors choose to support Halton Women’s Place, with whom I have partnered. 100% of donations go directly to them.
Why do the outdoor speakers turn off earlier than the lights?
The outdoor speakers are turned off earlier in the evening to respect my neighbours and the residents of Devlin Drive. This helps ensure the display can continue to operate year after year in a residential community.
The lights remain on for the full show hours, and music is still available through the optional audio stream.
What’s the best way to enjoy the show?
Take your time, enjoy it safely, be patient on busy nights, and come with a holiday spirit. A wave or a smile goes a long way.
